I disappeared for 8 days

Being a solopreneur can be hard.

There should be a movie called “Solopreneur Keeping Up with Entrepreneur.”

I’d go to the cinema to watch that.

I didn’t send any newsletter or post any content on LinkedIn for 8 days (except yesterday).

That’s just unlike me.

But I’ve been up to something, something that will help me get better work done next year in 2026.

Let me explain.

Back in February this year, when I decided to take LinkedIn seriously and do it well, what helped me wasn’t discipline.

I kept at it because of the system I created.

But here’s the problem: I didn’t create any system for my newsletter.

So what happened? I wasn’t sending newsletters consistently because I didn’t have a good system to pull me through the hard times.

I talk about systems a lot because it’s the only thing that can help you stay consistent with what you do.

Did you ask me about the system?

Yes, you did! ​

Here are the issues I spent 8 days fixing:

1. The Writer​ I can’t delegate my writing. I need to do it myself. So I decided to write my newsletter daily, every morning for an hour.

2. Newsletter Repurposing​ I use Make to automate my content process. It takes my newsletter and repurposes it into one LinkedIn post and four X (Twitter) posts automatically.

3. The Poster​ I schedule my posts on Typefully. Make pulls the posts from Notion, then schedules them on Typefully for me. ​

There’s more to the automation, but you get the idea.

All these apps updated their APIs recently, so I took advantage of them. Most are still in Beta.

One thing I wanted to implement? Automating my post images from Figma directly to Typefully.

Spent hours trying to make that work. No one’s figured it out yet.

That’s what I was doing for 8 days.

Being a solopreneur, I don’t want to do the same thing over and over again.

You can be hardworking, sure.

But you should be smart-working too.

I know I’m paying thousands of dollars a year for some of these apps, but is it worth it?

Absolutely.

Saving my time is more important.

If you can automate it, do it.

“The goal is for your business to be running while you’re outside running.”
